Inspired by Peru's Amazon region, Cesar Gonzales creates a beautiful macaw. Sculpted of semiprecious gems, the work takes advantage of the stones' natural colors and grain. The artisan selects reconstituted turquoise for the colorful feathers with accents of jasper and sodalite. Black onyx becomes the beak. The bird's bronze feet grasp a calcite trunk adorned with pyrite.
