?My name is Tere Ruiz. I am a jewelry artisan. My specialty is jewelry with a touch of copal wood, based in the tradition of alebrijes.

?I love the combination of colors that you can achieve, as well as the combination of paintings and decorations, allowing me to make pieces with a touch of elegance. Through patience, I have managed to create a sort of texture in each of my pieces, requiring strength and a lot of dedication.

?I consider myself to be a tenacious and entrepreneurial woman. I always felt a passion for Mexican handicrafts and I am obsessed with giving a common use to this beautiful aspect of humanity. I studied graphic design and it led me to crafts. I wanted to create something new, filled with tradition and color.

?Today, my line of jewelry is the result of having explored various expressions. Practice transformed it into one of my greatest resources, viewing patterns and greca motifs and how they would combine with the most appealing colors.

?I love playing with colors and exploring all of their possible combinations. I am interested in attracting the gaze of my client as they fall in love with each detail.

?I primarily work with sterling silver and copal wood. I have had fun with this great adventure and challenge that I want to nurture from day to day, allowing more people know my work as I give a part of myself with each piece.

?One thing that I strive for is to touch the sensibility of people, their empathy toward others, and their ability to learn new things. I know that with their help, this art will continue to develop with a constant effort that is full of passion. Passion is one of the principal tools of an artisan and designer. It is what gives us the gift of creation.?
