"Hello, my name is Supriyadi. I was born in Ringinanom village, Banyuwangi, East Java in 1977. My parents were running an ice cream business. I'm the last born of 4 children. I spent almost my whole childhood alone, left by my parents who were busy with their business in Bali, until finally one day I grew into a young man and follow them to Bali.

"Living in Bali and far from our home, we had to do any work possible to survive. Luckily, Bali is a great destination for tourists, so every business fares better here. I had tried many kinds of businesses by the time I was 23, until my parents and my siblings taught me this wall hanging work.

"I love this craft. I can play with the designs and ask my tukangs (craftsmen) to produce what I want. We use cotton thread, fabric, suede, beads, and bamboo as materials; and we produce them just using simple manual tools like scissors, glue, needles, etc. The ideas came from dreamcatchers, but I combine it with the available local materials. I love crochet and macrame, too, so I do experiments with those to create new items.

"I like soccer; I play it whenever I have free time. People say I'm a humorous, humble and honest man. I'm a married man with 1 son. Having a child makes me want to work harder for the sake of his future. I joined NOVICA because I want to expand my market to the online world.?
