Zandra Lorena Sajbin designs a reversible pendant of extraordinary beauty in honor of Maya astronomy. She crafts the pendant by hand with sterling silver featuring the quetzal bird and a temple over the lilac jade side of the pendant. The black jade side features a crescent moon. Maya astronomers sought to predict eclipses, which they likened to the galaxy taking a breath and which influenced human conscience.
Lilac jade is a natural stone. Its color will vary due to its white, green, blue and rose veins.
