Cotton and Silk Shawl in Champagne and Claret from India 'Chikan Roses in Claret'

Working with her brother and a handful of local women artisans, Uma Tripathi designs beautiful pieces of clothing from India. She proudly presents her own designs in this cotton and silk blend shawl, decorating it with the chikan technique, where floral patterns are block-printed onto the shawl's champagne body before being embroidered with floral motifs in claret. The artisan finishes the shawl with petite metallic accents that shine in the light.
