"Hello, I am a clove box maker from Bali. I was born in the Buahan village of Gianyar Regency, on January 13, 1968. I learned making clove handicrafts when I started to work for Mrs. Janette in 1995 in Ubud. Previously, I learned painting in junior high school. Working for a company full time, I couldn't continue my painting activities. In any case, clove crafts are my passion and my main creative outlet. "Natural and existing forms or designs inspire me to make harmonious blends with my imagination. The boxes contain various designs - the moon, rectangles, jugs, etc. "The main material is dried clove flowers, wire spine and thread. The wire, used to establish the steady forms, connect each piece of clove flower. Creative hands do all the processes. Currently there are ten craftsmen working with me and I also teach four students the art of clove crafts. We buy the clove flowers from farmers in Karangasem and are continually creating new designs. "We have exhibited our products several times in places like Bali Rani Hotel at Nusa Dua and Bali Imperial Hotel at Kuta."
