"My jewelry encloses all the visual beautiful in our Mexican handcrafts ? the color and magic our culture transmits.

"My interest in silver comes from visiting Zacatecas, a colonial town founded on vast silver mines. It is the city where my father was born. I loved silver, its color and shine. I regularly shopped for jewelry, but I never imagined I'd craft my own designs one day. No one in my family was a jeweler.

"My sister, who loved painting and sculpture, instilled a love of art in me. In the National School of Fine Arts, I studied jewelry design and silver work and discovered I have a gift for this art.

"In my workshop, I transform pure silver into sterling silver and use gemstones such as quartz, emeralds, rubies and garnets. It is very satisfying. Every design I create tells a story filled with ideas and emotions. Silver has become a part of my days and of my life.

"I plan to create new my collections and perfect everything about my art. We purchase everything from local suppliers and generate work for the master jewelers as well as the homemakers who collaborate with us.

"Everything comes together and my jewelry takes on a life of its own with the wonderful people who wear it."
