?Hi, I am Akhter Kamal from the City of Joy, Kolkata. My friends describe me as hardworking, dedicated towards work and responsibilities, and honest and helpful in nature. My hopes are big for the future, as I want to expand and grow to the highest level in the craft in which I work. I have already put my plans of growth to action. I dream to be one of the largest sellers of all kinds of leather goods worldwide. ?I was taught the skills required for this craft by my father. However, my research skills and my passion towards this craft have made me learn whatever I know about the leather industry today. I am a creative person and can create various designs and products through my innovative capability. I like the fundamental of creating various kinds of products, serving almost all kinds of customers. I have an inborn interest in this craft. ?It was difficult to start on my own, but at the same time things were challenging and interesting, and every time it urged me to move forward and fulfill the challenges that came along my way. With hard work, dedication and a passion to learn things, today I have my own workshop with a team of workers and we are doing quite well. I teach all my team workers the skills that they require to perform their tasks efficiently. Every day in this craft, I am learning as well as sharing my knowledge with others. ?We use genuine cow leather to make our products. It is easy to work with, as making the production easy is necessary for production in large quantities. I purchase the leather from various tanneries. My favorite thing about my craft is the various kinds of challenges that come along my way every day. I strive hard and succeed in overcoming the challenges. Even when suitable manpower or a machine is not available for a particular kind of job, I still manage to get it done. I design to match with the trends, and also with the requirements of the market. ?We also participate in local fairs. My craft has helped me to expand the business, because it has led to the hiring of more manpower. In this way, many people of my local community are now able to explore their skills and earn their living and lead a comfortable life.?
